Like almost everything, 2020 has been a very difficult year for the World Cigar Smoking Championship. Contestants competed on online platforms instead of meeting face to face.

 

Although the vaccine and other positive developments bring us closer to the light at the end of the tunnel, it probably won't be as easy to travel as before. The new normal will most likely come with different restrictions. This also means a new challenge for Marko Bilic, the creator of the championship, who was also the referee for all countries and qualification rounds.

 

As a result of all these, Marko and the World Cigar Smoking Championship take a new step, start local referee training and establish the World Cigar Smoking Championship Judge Association. Thus, the regional qualifying rounds will be held at the local referees control, and Marko will  no longer have to travel to another qualification round for the competition to take place.

 

Those who want to receive judge training and become one will be able to apply to the World Cigar Smoking Championship site.
